Anybody watching the blackout?

It's all over the news stations right now. There was a brownout here, but it wasn't too bad. Looks like NYC is going to be down for a while.

This does not look good!The whole Electrical grid of the United States is enter connected.I only pray that the domino effect does not happen.If it does we are in major trouble.

Power out here 25 miles north of NYC . But the cable internet is still up. I am using laptop on battery power and the cable modem off the battery backup.

It'll be a matter of hours before it's restored. NYC, Detroit, Niagra Falls, Ottawa and Toronto are all (majorly) affected.

Every time I hear news like this my first thought is that it is terrorism. Sucks, but I guess this is the reality we live in now. It is probably just the heat and the subsequent over-running of 20 million AC units. I hope this doesn't affect the nation too much.
