Now we get to see Pentagon running on a tight budget.

I could think of several things that could be cut to pay our men and women who are fighting to keep our great nation safe.

Come to think of it, they should have been cut a long time ago.

If you would turn to chapter.....11, page 109 in "The No Spin Zone" by Bill O'Reilly, it outlines lots of wastefull government spending.

One example, The Dempartment of Education, they dont know where $450 million dollar are. It just up and disapeared.

In the last years of clinton administration, 26,000 people recieved food stamps, about $8.5 million.......funny thing, these people were all dead.

The osprey helo project cost americans more than $40 billion since '82, and its still a piece of s**t. its crashed twice, and killed 23 marines. why are we still spending money on it?

Lyndon JOhnson's Great Society was supposed to "declare war on poverty" and stamp it out, hmmm....poverty rates are the same as they were in '68.

Mr. and Mrs. Clinton spent about $525 million of taxpayers money on "traveling expenses"

Those are just a few examples, but there is plenty more.

I think we should cut mr. bushes salary in half to $400,000
lower the salary of all politicans, and watch more carefully the spending of government agencies. because taking money from those who actually deserve it is bs.

I know someone very well that was privy to the actual fraud/waste/abuse of the Clintons. He was on one of the smaller jets the president, staff and first family used throughout the 90s. He told us story after story of the blatant wanton abuse and the complete lack of professionalism of the entire family (not just Bill). The stories would make you laugh at first, but then you start thinking about it and you get really really ticked off.

One of the things he was tasked to do was to act as the personal ferry for Chelsea to and from college. Millions of $$$ so Chelsea could travel from Stanford to see her friends in Colorado? He said that he was relieved when President Bush came into office because the fraud waste and abuse on his end stopped cold. And the professionalism returned full force.

Ditto...not like we get paid a lot now as it is...I don't think it will happen to be quite honest. I'm all for cutting the "big wig" pay checks a few hundred thousand dollars...some of those guys get paid such outrageous amounts.

I remember in 1969 I was having a beer in Saigon while my stitches were healing due to a run in with a North Vietnamese Army artellery, the bartender (a moonlighting GI) confided to me he was getting combat pay! The same $60.00 a month I was.

I think this is the point that the liberal media will drown out. Not everyone deserves combat pay just because of their zip code.

What an idiotic place to start saving money. If Bush doesn't turn this around I hope he loses the vote of every GI and their families.

Hey Dumsfeld! How about cutting them back to two meals a day instead of three?

Bah.

Absolutely WONDERful. They should try being in a hell hole for 6months to a year without getting that extra pay.
