Tweaking Techimo threads help

Hello,
I have been a member for only a short time and have made few posts but I totally respect and enjoy most of the members.

I see some members that somehow quote other members comments in their post and the quote appears with sometimes a header saying "quote" and sometimes it says "posted by:xxxx". Then the exerpt will between lines and everything is bold. How do you do that?

Also, I understand how to cut and paste a sites full address into a post so it will be an active link but I see some members who somehow condense the link into a work in the sentence and that word is blue and an active link, example: they will say find it "here". The word here is an active link. How do you do that?

Finally, I see some members post links to other threads for reference. How do you figure out what the link for a specific thread is so you can post it? All I know how to do is use the search feature to look for something but I have no idea how to direct someone else to that thread.

Any other customizing ideas and directions besides the above questions are welcomed.

if you look on the bottom of the post you want to quote there are two buttons

one is edit (used by the member and the mods) and quote.

press quote while your logged in and a new window with the person you want to quote will be there


to do the url

tpye

then the text you want to show up

or if your lazy when you have a reply box open there are buttons on top the button Http://

Thank you GroundZero3. And again, I apologize for the double post. I couldn't see my original listed in the "forums" and couldn't figure out where it went so I posted in a different catagory. It will not happen again I promise.

No problem boomauer we just like to keep it simple and not confuse the other members. They tend to get rowdy occasionally (ducks the book someone throws at him)

im alittle confused on what you are asking on the last part.
