What is wrong with prop 187???

I hear dear old arnold supported removing benefits from illegal aliens. To me this does not appear to be a bad thing.

I have heard that it is anti immigrant, however, I do not see that either. It is anti illegal immigrant (there is a difference though).

Dollars for:
schools
Police
medical care
Judicial
public assistance

Are being spent on people who entered the country illegally.

as far the "give us your poor and huddled masses" that was fine before we began provideng them money and services. Socialization of the country does not allow for allowing poor huddled masses in large quantity because it can cause hardship for your existing poor huddled masses. The citizen who is having a hard time making ends meet does not need to be supporting someone who comes in illegally. The fact that we provide social services to people who come in illegally is one of the reasons they keep coming. If they knew their children would be denied school, that they would be denied work, denied, food assistance they would slow to a trickle. Then if business still needs cheap labor you adjust the proper channels quota's.

Doing this might make it easier for someone who is truely in need of amnesty if the jobs, social services and benefits were not being drained off by those who can walk across the border.

It may not even be my country, but I shall vote all the same... they are illegals, and do not deserve tax (coins) until approved.

On the other hand, you have these illegal immigrants working on your farms, picking the oranges and apples you eat everyday.

there's always 2 sides to the coin.

Droppyale,

They do work the undesirable jobs perhaps. But even that can be addressed with adjustements to the immigration quotas. I do not really care about how many people immigrate. But they should be controlled and verified and researched. Then if they pass all the checks I do not mind letting them in to work the farms. Heck the illegal status is also used to exploit their fear of being kicked out. As such you can pay them dirt. Instead of raising wages and providing work for our citizens they keep wages low by exploiting the illegal.

I can't understand how the politicians in california can even say the stuff they say in public about it.

"it is anti immigrant"
"it is racist"
"it will offend the immigrant population"

comments like that are rediculous.

Then they say well how can you deny a 6 year old child an education.

I say very easily if they want the education for their children they have a country with an education system where they came from.

They are illegal life should be made as uncompfortable as possible so as to make them return and not come in illegally.

I am not sure there is any incentive to do it legally other than the number of attempts you must endure the desert for.

I wonder how you would feel if you were an immigrant.

WHat's wrong with giving a percentage of your paychek to help immigrants?

you have a good life, stop being selfish.

It's not racist or anti-immigrant, people who think that are completely nuts. I bet that a Mexican who came here legaly is just as angry about illegal immigrants as those of us who were born here.

Droppyale,

What is wrong with giving a portion of my paycheck to an immigrant. First of I am not talking about an immigrant (I am talking about an illegal immigrant), secondly I would much rather give a portion of my paycheck to a legal citizen or naturalized citizen first. The illegal immigrant is stealing from my fellow americans and legal immigrants. Someone who has waited 10 years to make it to america has had his job stolen by someone who simply skirted the laws and walked in.

generally speaking the illegal immigrant is wrong all around.

and like I said before the fact that they are here illegally keeps wages low for the legal immigrant with out skills.

Finally here is one that is from my borders language culture thing. If the flow of illegals and even immigrants is too fast it changes the culture of the country. No longer a melting pot. It becomes an extension of the country of origin. The place they tried to escape. An invasion as it were.

Why not allow Vicente Fox run for governer Where he can help the new california become just like mexico.

What about those immigrants that in order to get a job, are forced to get a fake ssn, and therefore pay taxes also.

U say they are stealing money? lol...

they are busting their ass working and working to feed their families, and they don't even have a good life like you and me.

if you call that stealing, then they deserve it.
