Someone just gave me a 39160 for free!

Woo-hoo! I just got an Adaptec 39160 SCSI card for free -and it will go nicely into the 64bit slot of my dual athlon board!

(cheapest on pricewatch is $169!)

Now all ya need is a few nice SCSI drives for free as well, and you'll be set!

Some folks get all the luck.

I can't complain, though, as I got 2 IDE HDD's (20G and 40G) that someone thought were dead, and I revived them!! Since they had already replaced them with a new 80G drive, they said I could keep them!

w00t for free stuff!!!!

Cheers
Mick

I just finished ordering cables, terminators, and a 10-pack of 18GB/10K drives for $149 ($14.90 EA) -drives are SCA 80pin so I got a few SCA/68pin adapters as well.

used/formatted/tested so-called refurbished, but with a limited replacement policy from www.softwareandstuff.com -still at steal at that price I think.

Bah. They don't ship internationally unless I spend US$1000. Could do with a couple of 18G SCSI-2 drives.

Oh, well, bad luck. I'd have to move to the US to get these good deals. That ain't gonna happen any day now.

Sweet setup you'll have there, CMonster!

Cheers
Mick
