remember a band..toured with DMB maybe

ok, trying to think of this band i saw on tv a few years ago. there were 3 guys, 2 black one white. the white guy played banjo sometimes and guitar. the drummer or percussionist, had a crazy setup that he wore. he had like a drum machine on his check and would do funky stuff like that. the singer/bassists played a 6 string bass i believe, and he was good. they played some really cool stuff, anyone would enjoy it i think, alternative/rock/jazz anybody. i think i remember them saying the toured with dave matthews band once. dont really know too much else about them. any clues?

haha, no not ben harper. although he rocks. it was these three guys. this PBS show was circa...1998? 99? so they may not even be around anymore. i tried googling for "crazy drum machine guy and a banjo" but that didnt work

You are giving me this crazy one-man-band picture. Guy with a drum strapped to his back and a string to his leg to beat it, playing a harmonica and a banjo.

not my fault your brain doest work correctly sil sounds like a personal problem

it was a really cool set though. the percussionist was really funky on his chest, and the bassist was excellent, could really slap a funky one on that 6 string. and well guitar guy...he was kinda just the odd man out:P

LOL, my friend has a solo cd of Victor Wooten (the bassist). He's really good.
