I hate car rental companies! Uh This is a rant!

I hate car rental companies!

Geeze talk about price gouging! Happy Holidays we know your travel this Holiday season is personal not corporate, so let us drive you home with double the regular rates! HO HO HO..
To change my reservation by making it 3 hours earlier,, they want an extra 200 bucks! Hmmm methinks this stinks!

It doesn't fit on the plane

look at this!
Vehicle License Fee Recoupment ($0.62/day) $6.82
Concession Recoupment Fee (10.5%) $50.06
Sales Tax (6%) $32.02
Wayne County Stadium Excise Tax (2%) $10.67

Subtotal $99.57
That's in addition to the rental fee!

OUCH. Thats alot of extra crap to pay for if you ask me.

BTW, what is the Concession Recoupment Fee for? I never heard of it, of course, I seldom rent cars. But I did used to work at a car rental station. The rest make sense to me, but not that one.

Jer

In a NUTSHELL,, their RENT!!

The Good NEWS!
I can get that 450.00 rate reduced to 225.00
if I could get a ride from the airport to my hometown....

The Bad News!
Nobody wants to pick me up

I love my family! Glad I have a sense of humor!

Surreal, don't they have shuttles, perhaps from a fly-away type of thing?

UD stats aside this has not been a Sureal year

fear not, the palindromic (a la ABBA) 2002 promises much more

but I can't personally fix 20,000 deskstops doing UD or free rides...only best wishes for the festive season

surreal, may it only ge better, and I'm sure sure you know how to drop kick that sentiment into gear

Well, yeah in the real world like where you live

But not from Detroit MI to Flint MI...
Of course they even have an airport in Flint..
Bishop International Airport.

ONly thing that lands there is Ducks and a few Geese!

Well I do see humor in the irony of this..
AND!
I'm going to have a good time no matter what!

AND!
Thanks for reminding me of my UD stats!
I'm thrilled with how well they are going!!!

I'm more concerned with my cows unattended than the kittys only having the neighbor!

I frequently use Budget or Avis at least 6 times a year for a week at atime, (just had one 10 days ago) approx 250$ aweek or 35$ aday for a full size new Taurus w/free milage---at times of the year the cost does vary, but not by 100's of dollars---AAA saves me a couple bucks...
