Is Gigli that bad?
I've never seen the movie myself but according to Conan and the voters at the Internet Movie Database say it's the absolute worst movie ever. Conan's show today is entirely based on how bad this movie is. The voters at Internet Movie Database ( http://imdb.com) gave it a 1.4/10 http://us.imdb.com/Title?0299930
Has anybody seen this movie? Does it really suck that bad?

No way will I go see this movie.  Of course the critics bash movies that I really enjoy, but I will take their word on this one. ;
I am not really a fan of J. Lo or Affleck so a movie with a korny plot with these two has to suck. |

Mike, those 1700 votes are not from crazy film critics. Those votes come from people like you and me.
1700 people can't be wrong Quote: |
On Monday, 3,000 people in markets as varied as Dallas, Chicago, Albany, Atlanta, and Seattle screened Gigli, a gangster-themed romantic comedy written and directed by Martin Brest, in which lowly thug Affleck lets his love for hitwoman Lopez get in the way of a high-risk mob assignment. Of those viewers, 2,965 "strongly agreed" that the ending should be changed to include a graphic scene in which its main characters die.
| LOL!!!!

Actually I was referring to what I saw on TV and read in the newspaper. Most critics bashed the movie a lot.
I do post a review and score a lot of movies on IMDB. |

I heard this movie's opening weekend netted $4 million. That's pretty bad, isn't it!

I think it was like number 7 for the week. Yeah it's nothing too impressive. (Although I am sure it was a low budget film to begin with)...

| Not with those two big name stars. I think I heard $52 million.

Well I was talking about the script, setup of the movie and what not.
I read somewhere that besides having to pay the salary of those two, it was supposed to be a cheap film.
Although it's 5:30 a.m. and I haven't been asleep yet, I don't know WTH I am saying anymore. |

According to imdb the gross was 3,7m for the opening.
Also, (I think it requires pro access to view costs) it was said in the board that the total cost for the movie was something like 70m etc.
I don't know what's cheap anymore? 70m sounds awfully lot, but so does 30m.
