question for the ladies
heres the deal. theres this girl who i am good friends with. i have known her for about two months. she likes me a lot as a friend. i like her a lot as a friend but i also want to date her. she is perfect, and i mean PERFECT in every way. she has the brains, the looks, the morals, the personality, everything. i havent told her this yet and i need opinions on how to go about doing so. my mom told me that girls get freaked out by the whole sudden surprise hey-i-like-you-want-to-go-out-romantic thing. the last thing i want is for her to get freaked out and us be not as good of friends anymore. so heres my question. should i 1) spill my heart to her and tell her how great i think she is and how i think about her all the time etc. etc., or 2) be casual and calm about it and treat it like "would you ever consider dating me? if not then its no biggy, i just didnt see any harm in asking" or should i 3) do something completely different?
thanks!

4.) Let nature take its course. All other options are just trouble and complications waiting on the side of the road like highwaymen.

Well, your mom is dead-on. Most likely, if you tell her, she'll freak and that'll be the end of that. Number 2 is doing the same thing. Don't think she won't feel the same way as if you just came out and told her because girls are not that clueless. Well, most aren't.
If something is meant to happen, it will. Otherwise, you'll find it's probably just a passing fancy you have and you'll meet another girl and fall madly, head-over-heels in love and never look back.
Well, that's what they always tell me anyway...
Highwaymen are like robbers. They'd lie in wait for a coach to pass by and steal everything from/kill the occupants. Life is full of 'em. Especially when you've got a thing for someone that you probably shouldn't.

Go see Blaze's "help with the duck" thread. I gave him the same advice and he got the expected results. Which is really sucky. It's hard to share something like they had and then get shafted like that.
