how to hypnotize?

i have never seen anyone be hypnotized, and quite frankly am a skeptic. i would like to see if anyone else has experiences with being hypnotized, or hypnotizing. i would also like to know how i can learn to hypnotize someone.

Nice, OuT, but a bit fast.

Well, I have the answer, bigfoot!!

And it's only $19.95!!.

Lots of scam ways to learn out there. Best way IMO is to go to your local uni psychology department and enrol in a course. They do teach this stuff for real.

Can you learn to hypnotise ppl? Yes, you sure can. Does it work/help anyone? No comment on that.

Cheers
Mick

ha, yeah i was reading that last night before i posted here. google only turned up that and like mick's fee based crap.

how about experience with hypnosis. i stated that i am a skeptic, and part of the reason is the lack on knowledge on how to do it. you know? like if it is completely possible to control someone's mind, then why isnt everybody doing it.

...maybe they are i am just hypnotized by everybody else.

anyway, so has anyone been hypnotized? or hypnotized anyone? i may look and see if they offer an actual class on it at school. i doubt it though.

...wonder how much of this is BS

This is totally what I HEARD from a hypnotist and is not nescessarily 100% fact as it is also what I can remember. I was 15 at the time so legally I couldn't be hypnotized as you had to be atleast 18. Apparantly it works really well for those who can concentrate and focus on something. He had us all do this exercise where we interlocked our fingers and, close our eyes and he talked us through pressing them together. It was weird because I DID feel a pressure on my fingers. That's all I can offer but it did seem interesting.

It's actually alot easier than you think it is. I have done a little hypnosis (practice on myself), and it's actually kind of fun. There was a setof books reccomended to me once but I forgot the name and will need to relocate it. Basically, hypnosis is just a really deep state of relaxation where you happpen to be aware to everything thing around you (it's called hyperawareness, one of the really scientific terms out there ). At that point, your mind is very succeptable to suggestion and will follow whatever suggestion it is told unless you disagree to it (like if someone told you to strip naked in Times Square under hypnosis, you wouldn't and would pull out of hypnosis quite quickly).

There's not much to be skeptical about, just be aware it's not the all powerful tool it's thought to be. If you've seen Office Space, that's close to what it's like (except the hypnotist doesn't usually die in the middle of the session ). Now when people start talking about regression and psychics...then be skeptical (I know I am).

I'll look through Amazon for that book...
