Siding and Door installed pics
I finally finished installing the siding on my house, tore off the old dirty aluminun siding. While I was in the destruction mode I cut a hole in the wall and installed the swinging french door.
Surreal, how is the home building going?
Here are some pics,

Looks good! What kind of siding did you go with, I can't tell.
Steel or Vinyl? I'm getting ready to do new steel, this vinyl was put on wrong in the first place, so it's all bubbly.

The siding is Quest 3 from Mastic,
Dutch lap, double 41/2
The old stuff was 8 " aliminum in white color ( at some time it was). I tried bleach on a piece in a bucket and it only rinsed the top layer of dirt off.
jmebonner, sounds like the siding was put on too tight. If there is no gap for expansion the siding will boy our and give a wavy texture. Quest 3

Here in the DFW area, I had 3 different realtors tell me that putting vinyl or aluminum siding on a house actually decreases it's value here.

What type of siding was recommended by the realtors? Are you in a warm climate, southern part of the USA.
In this area or the country I would estimate that 90% of the homes have vynil siding.

Yup. stoopid hot weather down here in TX. 90% of everything is bricked and faux wood sided with that ground up paper/wood outside material. I'm orginially from MI (and hope to be back there someday). Growing up, vinyl or aluminum siding was the way to go.
