Is this article about buymusic.com reliable?

I was reading at one hard core pro linux, anti MS site and this link was posted http://www.lowendmac.com/archive/03/0725.html
The article goes through how crappy buymusic.com is because you can only use Internet Explorer (meaning Windows only) and one can only listen to the files with WMP because the files are encoded in an MS proprietary format (wmv) and that you can only listen to the files on 1 computer.

Is any of this info true? I've never used buymusic.com but if any of this is true, I don't think I ever will.

I don't know about the IE only thing, I think they say that because it uses WMV (which other media players will read and other browsers will open fine)

You're not allowed to burn it or anything though. One computer, that's all you get to use the song for.

It's truley a rip off.

It really is IE only, I have no clue how it finds out!

I try to load the site in Opera (identifies itself as IE 6.0) but it still tells me that I'm not using IE. Mozilla doesn't work either.
