I have heard of the inhaler but I don't know much about it. I wonder if that's by prescription?

i mentioned this on another quit smoking thread, but shall repeat it. yes,the zyban(aka welbutin,an anti-depressent) does help. if you have health ins,get a doc to prescribe you some. if you are on good terms with doc,and explain what you are up to,they usually agree, then its covered by ins. also write down every one you smoke and what time you smoke it for the first week. week 2 do the same, but also write why you smoked it and what you were doing just prior to smoking.<<<<trigger<<< but the most important requirement to stop smoking, bar none,is the absolute commitment to stop, even if you dont stop the first attempt, please keep on trying. i ve smoked off and on for 30 years, once quitting for 10 years. started with one stupid smoke, then another 6 mos later, then another one 3 mos later, well you get the pic. now i havent had one in about three years, since my grandaughter was born. the grand kids are a real inspiration for the not smoking!!!

prettybean, and all others who smoke and want to quit, you have my total support! hang in there and good luck to you all

For a couple of months I just wouldn’t smoke in the car or in the house. That helped me cut down. Then I totally stopped. No patch or gum. When I wanted to smoke, I would go do something to take my mind off it. Oh, yeah . . . I drank heavily. :P

I still crave a smoke sometimes and I rarely miss an opportunity to stand downwind from a smoker.

cough cough sputters!! I tried quitting a while back and even started a thread on it, and embarresing as it is to say i miserably failed, I just got to stressed out and too many things happened that week I choose to quit.

Im rooting for you and good luck!!!!

No Smoking in the car and in the house is a great idea, I do that myself and it cuts me down. Too cold outside to hang out for a full cancer stick so i tend to smoke less.
