Name that movie (circa 1999 or so)

Hi everybody!

There was a scary movie that I missed, but can not recall the name. In the previews, I only remember a certain scene. None of the Blockbuster guys knows what it is. Can you help?

The scene from the trailer:
There are 3 or 4 people on an elevator running from something. It is a very stressful moment. At that time, there is a guy in the back of the elevator with long hair, kind of weird looking and somewhat of the comic relief of the movie. During this 'stressful time', one person asks- what the $#@@ is that? And the comic relief guy says "The Girl from Iponima" (because the elevator music just started up with that song.

Anyone know which flick this was?
Thanks

Have a great rest of the weekend!
Dave

Ok Dave, here's your answer. And how I got it.

Step 1:Google Search: "The Girl from Ipanema" elevator

Step 2: That got me to Blues Brothers FAQ - Movie Trivia, where I learned this about the Blues Brothers movie; The music that is played in the elevator scene is The Girl from Ipanema - a piece of music which is present in other John Landis films.

Step 3: So I went off that info and looked here; John Landis. But it seemed to be a dead end.

Step 4: So I continue down the Google list. And finally, at the bottom of my page (I have my Google preferences set to show 100 results per page) I see this quote, "What the hell was that?" in response to something crawling on top of the elevator.
Elevater music comes on. "It's the girl from Ipanema."
. Bingo. That leads me here, which is obviously just a message board, so I have to search the page for that text in hopes that the poster named the movie along with his quote.

Step 5: He did name the movie, but since I've never heard of it I double check the movie title Amazon.com: DVD: Deep Rising (1998). Yep that seems to be it.

Step 6: Process billing statement and send to Dave.

No hourly charge. Just $20 per successful search. If I don't find it, you don't pay.

Good googling, OuT!

Cheers
Mick

edit: BTW, google also found this review:
Quote:
If you've seen the 'elevator music gag' in the trailer, you've pretty well seen the only memorable scene in the whole movie (I can't get that song out of my head).
Might not be worth watching anyhow, Dave.

Cheers
Mick
