I just don't understand people I guess!
The
18 Fire started yesterday aprox. 45 min. after I passed the start point on my way to work. When I got off work at 9p.m., I could look at Pilot Butte (between work and the fire) and see cars bumper to bumper winding up the Bute to look at the fire.

On the way home (I live south of the fire), as I'm coming around the curve by Lava Butte, cars are parked along the highway and people are climbing up to the road to Lava Butte. (They weren't letting people drive up.

According to tonights
update, the fire is continuing to grow, but is starting to move slightly to the west. I live ~ 10 miles WSW of the fire, but I'm not worried (unless the wind really picks up out of the NE for the next couple days).
In the mean time, it's amazing the number of people that have to go out and get in the way, or try to find the best vantage point to watch the fire.
