Gord had one guy bitch because it only took him 5 minutes to replace a defective controller port on his PSX.

"Will you take $10?"

"Uhm. No. It's $20. We discussed this before I even started."

"But it only took you five minutes!"

"Yes. It was simply a controller port replacement."

"I'm not paying $20 for five minutes work!"

"Then I'll take it out and put back in the broken one."

"No! Wait! What's it cost to buy the part by itself?"

"They're $20. Installation is free."

"That's a f*cking ripoff!"

"Oh, ok. I'll just put in the old part then."

"Fine! I'll pay the $20!"

"$22.80 sir. There's tax."

"F*cking tax. Twenty f*cking dollars for 5 minutes work."

"Sir, that was $20 for a replacement part with free installation. Here's your unit, here's your change, and have a nice day."

I read through quite abit of this site, I did find numerous funny stories, however I couldn't help to note some predijuces Gord has.

He continued to thrash the issue of welfare through out many of his post. What does welfare have to do with any of this? He makes it sound like that ALL people on welfare are scum of the earth. I believe he has huge misconceptions about welfare issues. Some people granted do take advangtage of the welfare system and want to try and screw the government. Other people are on welfare out of neccessity to get on thier feet. Whatever the circumstances are I don't belive people should discrimate or thrash or belittle people just because they are on welfare.

I was a bit disappointed to read his comments in this regard. I have no problems saying that yes im on welfare and have been for a long time. However my situation put me on the system out of neccessity, I HATE the system but without it I am unable to get on my feet and go to college and get an education and thus my goal to graduate college so I can get off the system.

I think all cases are different and belittling or jugding someone to that fact that they are on welfare is plain wrong.

I would much rather someone take the time to get to know me before judging me.

I agree that the people who choose to rent from the man were in the wrong, however does that give him the right to respond with such belittling comments and to be rude back to the person that has wrong them when the renter has decided to break the rental agreements?

I am well aware of the nature of the buisness and that he is in the business to make money and I am just wondering where he gets off thrashing welfare in general.
