Think about it. Kobe is rich, famous, everybody likes him... wouldn't you assume that women would throw themselves at him? He wouldn't need to force himself on anybody.

well Shawn the same argument can be made in reverse...your saying just because he' rich and famous he's not guilty what does rich and famous have to do with guilt or innocence ?
so a poor nobody that is accused of rap is guilty ?? I'd hate to have you on my jury

funny thing about the "star treatment" I recall several years ago when Mike Tyson was accused of beating Robin Givens everyone said "oh hell he didn't do it if he did he would have killed her or hurt her worse than that" now look what happened

I also happen to recall a case about a football or baseball star that was accused of rap and several people came out and said the same thing then a year later he was caught red handed.

Just because they are famous and act one way in front of a camera doesn't mean they are always that way. I'm not saying he's guilty or innocent but passing off her accusation just based on that fact is wrong. I guarantee if all she did was come out and say he had an affair with me no one would have thought that to be true either but as we can see it clearly is.

Face it, the Lakers were on their way down anyway. Time for some new heros. Does the whole Kobe Bryant thing really impact the NBA?

On the other hand, if they drummed every accused rapist or adulterer out of the NBA, there would only be enough guys for two or three teams. And they'll all be from Eastern Europe.

I only feel sorry for these sports hero/rapist types in one respect. They can't win. If they lose in court, they lose. If they win in court, they only won because they're pop idols. Either way, they lose.
