High ranking church officials not indicted

http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/07/21/ch....ap/index.html

Personally I think these people regardless of their job title are LOW LIFES.

They care ZERO about the kids and families that attend their churches. They put these lower life form so called "Priests" out of a church they got into trouble with and simply put them somewhere else!!

I'm sorry you'd THINK "OH but I'll change" wouldn't cut it

Note: I'm not wrapping all priests into that statement, hence the "priests"... I'm speaking of the abusive ones only as they are wastes of oxygen.

Why aren't these people in JAIL !!!!Haven't they taken from these children something that can never be replaced..their innocence. Maybe they'll burn in hell in the hereafter, but the laws of man need to have justice served. They should be on the national sex offenders list...right at the top !!!! Turns my stomach

I didn't read the whole article...why weren't they charged? Did the church drop charges, or did the court just not want to do it?

Weak laws, telexen.

Reilly said in April that it would be difficult to indict church supervisors for allowing abusive priests to remain in parish work because of weak child protection laws in Massachusetts when the abuse took place. Reilly came to the same conclusion after the grand jury investigation, according to the report.
I'm with vass - those leaders should have been charged along with the offenders, for knowingly endangering kids.

Our Governor-General, an ArchBishop, recently resigned over this same issue. He was aware of allegations against offenders, but didn't do anything about it. Guilt by omission.

Cheers
Mick
