Download music?

I hope no one has posted this article yet...

http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepu...download1.html

I really want to know what constitues a person MASSIVELY sharing music files? My ISP MUST turn in my name and information if they suspect me of offering files? How in the heck do they "suspect" me?

I wonder what the future will hold.

The ones sharing the most songs first...they'll move down the list as quickly as they can.

The RIAA has hired programmers to write programs that can sniff out your IP if you download songs, etc.
What bothers me is the fact that they are really ruining the music world.

I used to use Yahoo's Launchcast radio. It was an excellent service but within the past 6 months it has been completely ruined. Now an ad is after EVERY song. They also limit how many songs you can skip/ban from your list as well.

They own the music world...don't think for a second that artists own songs...their record label does.

Look what happens when they want to release a song they recorded on one record label on a CD from another label without a good link between the two labels.

Want an example of that? Several bands (along with Glasseater, which I'm REALLY unhappy about) have dropped out of the compilation "Punk Goes Acoustic" and the CD has been delayed 4 months now because Victory Records is being greedy.

I am quite aware of that Telexen. Money is a minor problem with compilation discs with bands/artists from different labels.

Earlier I was talking about the RIAA suing/scaring people that use file sharing programs like Kazaa or any other P2P program.

I used to listen to an almost ad free LaunchCast radio but now it's gone straight to hell. Before the RIAA started scaring everyone it was fine, now it's horrible.

Ah I will check that out tomorrow. Thanks!
I am sure it's only a matter of time before they become just as bad.

What if your entire family knows about any mp3's you may have? Are they all now considered an accessory?

What is an illegally offered song? I have gigabytes of my own personal Lame rips on my HDD which just happen to be in my WinMX shared folder. Are they there legally?

Who the heck are these guys to tell me where I can put my legally obtained files?
