Remember the Amazon.com goodie boxes?
Well if not, then amazon.com was offering these goodie boxes for free After Rebate... there was quite an uproar about this on various message boards because the stuff inside there was worthless.... well, I happend to visit the goodie box page on amazon.com again and found this customer review: Quote:
WOW! TRULY AMAZING!!!, July 17, 2003
Reviewer: A software user from Chicago, IL United States
I ordered this goodie box two weeks ago, and only recently did I bother to read the previous reviews. Needless to say, I started getting nervous about the "junk" I could be getting in my box.
But boy was I surprised when I received and opened mine yesterday!
I got a Nomad Jukebox 3 with headphones, a Linksys EtherFast Wireless router, and two (count 'em, TWO) flash cards for my digital camera! What a deal! And although I don't own a Nintendo Gamecube yet, I got a Zelda game along with some Rogue Squadron III game. And not only that, whoever packed my goodies took the trouble of including a McRib sandwich and Supersized order of french fries! Not bad, Amazon!
But what really surprised me- especially since after the rebate, the box is pretty much free- is that they gave me official "screener" copies of "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Matrix Revolutions" on DVD. I mean, wow.
I have to admit, it did seem pretty excessive to include an $800 certificate to 9 West and one of those "Ginger" Segway "IT" gyro scooter dealies. But I'm sure I can find someone who would appreciate them. Any takers?
Thanks again, Amazon!
