I cave a cable modem , and the ftp site im using transfers at the speed of 17.26 , Is this normal ? or am I crazy ?

just because you have cable does not mean you will download super fast at every site. it all depends on the servers connection, load and the route it takes

That's right. When Intel sent an email to all it's webcam customers to download the new software, for the first two weeks it wasn't worth the time to download the 125MB file because it was going to take ten hrs.

Last weekend I downloaded an upgrade from Business Objects - a 250MB file and it took 7 min.

BTW - I think this is the wrong forum.
