Talk Old people and computers

I know people who have sold PC's to old people for a very high price, just because they were old. What do you think of these acts?

I would think that ripping off the elderly wouldnt be a particularly good or moral pracitice.

Agreed. Elderly people should be seen as a resource, not an opportunity. Trust me, you'll be old before you know it. I guarantee if you rip off my Grandma and I find out, things will get hairy.

Ripping off the elderly is definatly NOT COOL.
Didn't your parents teach you to respect your elders?

not only is this thread topic an abhorent one but the fact that you seem proud that you did it (why else would you gloatingly talk about it?)...indicates that you are a lowlife.

don't expect to get much admiration for your despicable behavior here on techimo.

That's not cool at all. Many old people have fixed incomes so losing $1000 is a very big deal for them. Ripping off a moron who doesn't know what he's doing is a lot different from ripping off an old person who put faith into you.

you'll be old one day, but if you really live like you post, who knows if you'll get old

I'm over 40 and build my own stuff, network and everything, don't let age fool you

congrats, you've just been inducted into the hall of shame

I think everyone else has already said what I think.

Except I think he should spend a couple of weeks working in an old folks village to get an appreciation and some respect for these people.

Greedy opportunists make me feel sick.

IMO

As much as I hate to say this, but he is right: It's just not about computers, but a good salesman can sell anything to anyone.

I could sell a computer to a teenager and shaft the hell out of them if I wanted.

No matter age/daftness. All it takes is a little bit of research before you go looking for something.
