My brother in law explained this to me and it all makes sense now.

I now know why your computer does not work after you see the smoke pouring out.

Apparently that is magic smoke and there is only so much in the computer when all the magic smoke is gone it does not work anylonger.

This being a tech site I was compelled to allow you all in on this secret.

Plenty of smoke in trains, so, yeah.

Interesting theory, Epidemic. Now I'll have to test it by catching the smoke coming out of a compuetr (easy to set this up ) and then seeing if putting the smoke into a non-working computer will fix it.

Got my research strategy all mapped, just have to find a publication to publish in now.

I have seen his cousin KA-BLAM! too..

There was a genie that ran my Air Conditioner. When I rubed the magic circut breaker 1.5 times, he lept out of the AC unit in a puff of smoke and announced his name to the world shortly before disappearing in a puff of smoke: KLUG-KLUG-BOOM was his name.

There's still a hole in the compressor where Klug-Klug left. I've peered inside, but he didn't have much of a home. Like living in a giant metal ball of yarn if you ask me.

You guys need to get you one of those chrome plated magic smoke recyclers. I've got one installed on my PC and it was worth every penny I paid for it!

If you had installed your cooling fans in reverse , your computer would not have gone up in smoke and would be still working.
