LXG (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) - No spoilers please

Wow, what a movie!

I thought it was the second best flick I've seen this year with the first being the Matrix Reloaded. The movie was very creative and very entertaining. A lot of action and a lot of fight scenes. Decent to above average special effects. I would say the special effects were better, but some of them were a little too obvious with the CGI. The movie takes some creative license with some well known characters. I did not think this detracted from the movie too much, but I know some are not as forgiving when it comes to this. The story line was very well done.

Ah the plot looks kind of crappy but I figure I will go see it anyway.
I am a huge fan of Mr. Connery.

I think you might be pleasantly surprised by it. It is unique and the plot is not given away by any trailers that've been released.

it does seem interesting. I think of it as another movie production company's way of trying to make a buck off of all the new marvel movies.

I may go see it Sunday.. Although a few people I may go with may want to see Pirates of the Caribbean, so we'll sit outside the movie theater and argue for awhile.

i know one thing, i plan on going to see it as the worst movie of all time. when the trailer would come on at the theater, sometimes i would be laughing as hard as i could laugh at the horrendous CGI.

ohh... LOL.. [starting to laugh pretty hard] the scene where the submarine comes out of the ocean was especially great.. it looks so crappy that its unbelievable, i mean, i can produce those same graphics with only 10 minutes of work.. the only thing missing was the sun flare

but i noticed that they added some really "quick" hypervoxels to the scene so that it seemed more like it was moving some water, rather than cutting through an ocean of mineral oil.

/me thinks GZ is a movie critic in disguise

They always hate movies I like
I haven't seen it yet though so I'll keep my judgement for now

--- edit ---

Hmm although it did get a rotten tomatoe for a rating
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/TheL...lemen-1123784/

* "Weak climax, but overall, the film is quite enjoyable, never too serious about itself, always in it for the fun and adventure." (and that was for a GOOD rating)

* "One more bloated effects-o-rama lumbering through a formula plot without much zest, imagination or awareness of its own absurdity."
