TechTV and hacking

The ScreenSavers on TTV are having an 'All-Call' friday on hacking. Hmm....interesting. I wonder if they'll end with increased ratings or a cease-and-desist

I remember when they had the hacking contest, they had a comp set up somewhere, gave out the IP address, and the first to put a text file with his contact info on the desktop won. Hackers have gotten a bad rap, it's those stupid script kiddies that cause the trouble.

I remember that episode as well Blueliner. Stupid script kiddies cause the trouble? Quite a few REAL hackers cause problems as well.

I think they had quite a few people enter that minor hacking contest.

I think the real problem with that hack attempt is that the computer was proberly under some load with every dude trying to get into it.

It would be hilarious if they held the hack contest on a computer that was running on Linux and was behing a router lol. The contest would go on for a few days.
