Ebay fraud son bought from no feedback user

On June 15th, my son bought a mouse from a user with no feedback. If I had know there was no feedback I would have told him not to bid.

Guess what?

If your guess was that after he sent the money order the puke never sent the mouse then you were right. Fortunately, he's only out about $19. Guy has responded to only one email last week saying he had a family emergency (yeah, right) and we would have it no later than Thursday. Nope! Ebay won't do anything because it's less than $20. If only I had a good reason other than $19 to drive up to Sacramento.

Probably wasn't happy with the price and decided to keep the $.

Besides leaving this scum (no offense meant to scum by the way) negative feedback at Ebay, where else can I list this POS's name, address, phone number, and email information so that if he tries to sell elsewhere at least someone may have a chance to be forewarned?

Bill

You know how I like to play Devil's Advocate and all, so what if he really did have a family emergency?

Otherwise, you might try to contact Ms. TrollHunter (SoCalGal). She would probably know best where to be putting your information.

I never knew Ebay was so ignorant. Anyway, if you want at least some poeple to know that this guy is bad news, I can think of no other place except http://www.techimo.com/forum/f58/index.html.

Or try going tosome other forum.

From his email:

Quote:
Hey there, I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner, I had a family emergency this week, and just got back into town. I'm not sure if the mail runs tomorrow (7/5) or not because of the holiday, but if it does, the mouse will be mailed tomorrow. If not, it will be mailed on monday. Shipping to san diego usually takes 2-3 days, so you can expect the mouse by wednesday, thursday at the latest.

Mouse was bought two weeks earlier.

Maybe he's just a lazy kid like me?

I do know where you're coming from though. I bought my second computer off of eBay. It took the guy a month to get it to me. I had specified COD and I had spent the money because it had been so long.

Ask yourself, why would he tell you he had a family emergency if he had planned to just run off with your son's money? I know I sure as hell wouldn't have.

But you know, that's just me, trying to see the whole picture (which usually ends up with me on the wrong page ).

Bill:

Email him that you will pay him a visit if he doesn't mail it soon.

Or worse, tell him he'll soon get a call from the Iron Duke.

Fraud is fraud Bill..... Contact him and tell him you need the mouse "as advertised" by X time and date, or you will turn his contact information over to the appropriate authorities. Given that you are in the same state, it might be easier and more effective. The fact your son paid with a money order (am hoping it was a postal money order) means that you can more easily involve federal authorities if necessary.

Send a message via AIM to Mike
I say give it a few more days just to be sure. You could send me his address, name, and phone number if he doesn't give it up. Perhaps it'll be a nice gathering fro the Sacramento area.

Seriously though, I may just let the authorities know about what's going on so they can stop by and give this guy a visit.
