Savage Nation

Michael Savage’s last day on MSNBC is a great learning experience for conservatives who need a few lessons about how not to market our message. Rage and visible anger are best left out of the conservative demeanor.

In a bid for sensationalism, I think he went too far. Even for a radio show.

Rage and visible anger are best left out of any demeanor. Just weakens the position.

Ya I was listening to Don and Mike radio show the other day and they mentioned this. Apparently Savage blamed the caller as calling for Don and Mike to sabotage his show... basically he wanted a scapegoat to be a dolt considering they'd never even heard of him

He's always been way over the top. He had a local show here in Bay Area for a couple years before he went nationwide. I couldn't believe someone would give him a nationwide show. Then when they put him on TV too, I figured it wouldn't last long...and so it hasn't.

Anger Management for Michael Savage
Hans Zeiger

Michael Savage deserved to be booted from MSNBC this week for telling a homosexual caller that he should “get AIDS and die.” His remarks were truly bigoted and hateful.

Would it be just as offensive to strike out at a drug addict who uses a dirty needle and became infected? Probably not. Why: One side has politcal and economic clout, but both lifestyles are detrimental to societal interests, and I don't agree the differential is a matter of choice.
If shock therapy puts a few abnormals into normal straits, it may be more beneficial than always trying to be political correct. Face the truth (tough love) and put politics aside.

Um, wrong. Wishing death on anybody is a pretty low-life scummy thing to do. Doing it in public makes you not only a low-life scum but also a flaming jackass. Doing it on a nationwide radio/TV show indicates you are all of the above plus just embarrassingly stupid as hell. Michael likes to sound smart, and at one time I fell for his shtick. But it's become all to obvious that Michael is not a smart man.

Hmmm, ..yep, wrong again. I believe you got it backwards. It's the disgusting, vile, hate-filled rage spewed from out-of-control, self-righteous, intolerant nimrods like Mr. Savage that is the real detriment to society. And it's the blind, unthinking followers of these fly-by-night riot inciters that truthfully are the scariest aspect of the phenomenon.

As a one time regular listener to the Savage Nation (when it was just a local show here) and dare I say even a one time fan of Mr. Savage I'd like to take this opportunity to concur with most the sentiments in this thread and bid our friend Michael "Good riddance!".

I agree... I have never listened to Savage so I don't know the context of the remark nor Savage's general demeanor, but reading between the lines I suspect his comment of death was directed more at the culture than any individual. Symbolic and not personal.
