Pirates of the Caribean

Great movie!!

Original plot/theme (how many pirate movies have there been recently), GORGEOUS leading lady, quite funny, great actors, could never guess what was going to happen next...Johnny Depp played an awesome character - very well done. I rarely say thigns like this about a movie, if anything, so you know I was impressed :-)

* * * * * - 5 stars, highly recommended

My friends and I saw it last night. We dressed up in pirate costumes (I even made a black wig from yarn which took an hour). I agree with ya Wart, great movie! Not perfect like T3 but it was a fun romp and like you said original plot, hot lady, and when was the last time you saw a pirate movie?

Yeah, how was T3? The people I was with had already seen it or OF COURSE I would have seen that .

I'd go by myself if I had a car (grr, not yet)...probably will see it when it's on DVD. Some people said it was just 'ok'...I'm a big fan of Terminator movies and Ahnold in general...probably would've thought it was great

I didn't see T3 yet, I don't really plan to either.
Pirates of the Caribbean was a really good movie though.

The next movie I will be seeing this Summer? Probably Bad Boys II.

Dude Wart, ride your bike! Its worth it IMO as T3 kept to the series with no wacky ninja things or whatever. It felt like the perfect addition. It didn't feel like it missed a beat in the series but progressed it a long ways! It beat X2 out of my favorite movie of the year posistion due to its great story line, good homur, not making it into a joke fest, and its spectacular special effects!

Pirates of the Caribbean though comes in a good 3rd right behind X2! Its a great movie, and really saying it came in 3rd does in an injustice. Its a must see of the year, I don't think it will be quite the same off the big screen (still good mind you just not as good).

X2 was a lot better than T3, IMO. T3 lacked so hardcore in believability. Granted, they had to cut out like an hour of footage to make the movie shorter or some crap, but there were just too many things that didn't add up. The effects were great, I will give it that, but it wasn't very entertaining to me. X2 had it by a longshot. Pirates was more entertaining too, really.

Now that I think of it, I may go and see T3... Maybe!
I wasn't a fan of X-men and the 2nd one didn't appeal to me either. Probably wait until it comes out on DVD until I see it.

Actually I may go see that new Connery movie on Sunday.
