How many numbers on the do not call Registry now???

Does anyone know how many numbers are on the DoNotCall registry?

I know that after the first 4 days it was up to 10,000,000 but now that it has been up for a while I wonder where it stands.

They expected 60,000,000 of the 166,000,000 residential customers would be on by the end of the first year.

but 10 million in 4 days make me think that it might be going a bit higher by years end.

How do you get such exact numbers? Or do they stop at say 13,000,000?

What happens to the 13,000,001th peep?

Initial reaction is always higher. All the peeps in NYC, LA, Atlanta, sign on early.

Why would peeps in Broken Horse, Idaho sign on?

It will taper off to a trickle once 57,987,983 have signed up (approx numbers -maybe off by a couple here or there).

So 60,000,000 seems OK by that explanation.

more accurate numbers would be nice. But apparently people sign up in blocks of 1,000,000

My guess is that there is a database.

Where each record has an email address, date and phone number associated with it.

The counting of said database records would take about 1 second
