John Kelly becomes a guy known as 'John Clarck' after without Remorse, and a total bad@$$ at that (it happens at the end of WR, and the name John Kelly is never used again). I believe his second appearence after WR is in Clear and Present Danger.

Debt of Honor comes before Executive Orders, as Executive Orders starts as soon as Debt of Honor ends. Both of those books are recent however, and 'John Clark' appears in every Clancy book (with Ryan in it) after Clear and Present Danger.

Correct. In the book Ritter substitutes Kelly's fingerprints with the russian officer's (can't remember his name). So I assume that John Kelly mysteriously dissapeared after WR. The bok doesn't explain how, but it would probably be quite boring if it did.

-edit- Actually, I read the last paragraph at the end of WR again. Apparently, he does get a tripto the pokey, but apparently doesn't stay for long after a certain phone call.

Actually, he first appears in The Cardinal of the Kremlin.

"Without Remorse" is the sixth book in the series and goes back in time to tell his story. That story takes place while Jack Ryan still a kid...a time period during the Vietnam war...long before "Hunt for Red October".

Sorry I wasnt done w/ the book I had 4 pages or so left. Kelly actually rolls his boat into the freighter while be chased by teh Coastgaurdsman Oreza. He had a airtank w/ weights so hed sink to the bottom therefore faking his death. He had to Admirals of the Navy scoop him up. He ends up marrying Sandra O Toole in the end. It says their married for 5 years and Kellys name is now Clarke.

Yep, my favorite Clancy really.

Yeah, he appears in Cardinal, but for like 3 paragraphs or so. It's been a while since I read it, so maybe I forgot his significance.
