Talk somethin controversial

Hi folks!
I am not a big fan of internet forums, but thats just my opinion. But now I was just bored and I thought: why not look at some threads. In my opinion, or IMO to make it shorter , most of them arent really interesting, but as I said, thats just my opinion. And I understand of course that you think its interesting.

But with this new thread I want to open a discussion of which I think it is interesting. And its subject should be:

******************************
CONTROVERSIAL OR DISPUTED LYRICS
******************************

(i am shure creatures wont like , that I am talking about that in this forum)

What I want to ask you is:

Do you know some song lyrics that all the people talk and argue about? And what do you think of them?
The first thing you think about is probably Eminem and rap lyrics generally, so just post what you're thinking!

Well, in Germany there's a rapper who has really EXTREME controversial (excuse me, I dont have an other word and I dont know if i spell it right) lyrics. To give you a little impression of what he raps avout, I translated a few verses into English. But because there are some younger members in Techimo, I replaced everything "naughty" with "---"

Here are a few lines:

"--- ask me: "Why are you such a cannon in bed?"
No idea! I believe, I have simply too many hormones!
I recompence --- --- with --- on the ---.
I --- you so tight into your --- that my --- flirts with your ---.
---, I --- you into the clinic!
---, before I put my --- into your ---."

That should give you an impression. If you are interested in it, I could tell you my opinion about it and I can tell you the name of the artist and the song.

I wonder if you can figure out some of the gaps

cya

Chris

I think I have some of the gaps figured out. What's the name of the rapper and the song?
Why do people care about Eminem? Because he just came onto the scene and dominated everything. I think last year he made the most money out of any rap artist.

Besides he immediately made main stream music in the U.S. and world wide. If this German artist were to start singing in the States, then we'd start caring.
If you want you can PM or e-mail me the artists name.

No its ok to post it. His name is

KOOL SAVAS

the song is called

LMS
(this is a abbreviation for --- my ---)

I dindnt want to post it before anyone was interested becauese Ì thought it would sound like a promotion for him.
BTW he didnt get popular in Germany because it was just not mainstream music and thats the reason why nobody really talkt about it in Germany exept hip hop "heads".

I think Eminems great. But because he had so much succes many people dont like him anymore and I understand that: you see his face everywhere and this goes on my nerves (can I say that in English), too sometimes.
If you listen to some of his songs like "Bonnie and Clide 97" or "Kill you" you notice that he's very talented but that his songs are also very... I cant find a good word... some people say "sick", but I dont think they are sick, because when Eminem sais in his song "You ---, I'm gonna kill you!" then its nor his opninion but the opinion of a character he invented. Its like if someone writes a book and a charakter in this book sais "You ---, I'm gonna kill you!" then nobody would say the author is sick in his brain.

I hope you understand everything I just wrote down, when I am tired and writing fast I dont have a good English

I thought Jay Z sang a song called Bonnie and Clyde. Yes he may "get on your nerves" (not goes on my nerves)
Don't worry your English is very good indeed. We do have some German speaking members here as well.

Yeah, there are more German speeking guys in the Internet than you would think.

But now I just asked myself if the queens of the stoneage, a band, are popular in the US. (Hasnt got anything to do with the topic ) so just ignore it

In America there are these "Explicit Contense" (damn I just cant spell) signs on the records. What do they mean? Do you have to be over --- years old to by these records, or what?
And by the way, it really gets on my nerves ( ) that they play the cencored versions of rap songs in Switzerland, too, althought they dont have to. I think its just because they take the sound files fromm America. I mean the rappers dont have much of a flow when they are always interrupted

Just sent the PM.
Yes I know Jay Z and Beyonce made that song. (How lucky is Jay Z? )

Explicit Content means bad language, violence, sex, etc.
It's pretty much a warning label for adults to know what's on the album.
Most rap CD's here in the U.S. have them as well.

Yeah, I think they have these labels only in the US, and in Europe only when its imported from America. But everybody can buy such a record, you dont have to be old enough, or do you?

Well even when I was 13 I had no problems buying whatever I wanted. Of course some places do give minors a problem.
Kind of like movie theaters. In California they ask me for my ID to buy a movie ticket and that's only happened to me one other time in a different state.

It depends on what store, and normally if the manager is working that day.
