Talk One of my earliest drawings
This is so cute! I'm moving soon, and am going through all this stuff in the (former) family home, and I found this among some pictures my Grandmother had saved.

Basically, when I was 5 years old, my Grandfather was promising to make me a "Midget racer" (it turned out as a really fine go-kart).

I remember being so happy, I couldn't sleep, and I'd climb into his lap when the poor guy was trying to watch "Lawrence Welk" on TV....demanding that he get to work on it!!

So in order to sort of....facilitate and expedite the process, I apparently made some working drawings, as full of such specifics as a feverish 5-year-old mind could conceive....

That is soo cute. Glad your folks had the forsight to save stuff like that. I save a majority of the kidd's stuff and put it in a box and at the end of the school year i tape and label the box up and when they grow up and have kiddo's of thier owns i will give them all these boxes of thier stuff from when they were kids.

I even save scraps of thier clothing before tossing it and one day im gonna make me a huge quilt with pieces of thier clothings.

Awww Knot, thanks for showing us that you did suck at drawing at least ONCE in your lifetime....

It's true folks, Knothead is human!

My Ma's got some of my early drawings circa 5 yrs old...perhaps I can get one of them off her and scan it....

Is #5 still your favorite number?

Thanks for sharing, that was adorable with the story..... Ya ought to frame it for your kids!!!

Neo, I'm planning on doing the same thing with some of my son's favorite t-shirts......someday!!!!!
