Hero
Possibly the best movie I have ever seen. It was perfect, very good story, good acting, great scenery and choice of colours, superb music, basically it was visual poetry and a work of art, just what movies are supposed to be in my opinion.
I highly recommend this movie to all.

Hero wasn't released in America, was it? My friened has a copy of it, I have been begging to see it. Asian films are just as good, if not better than most the drivel hollywood pumps out. I also really want to see Battle Royale. The Princess Blade is going to be released in US theaters, and I think Shaolin Soccer is also. I also want to see The Returner and Volcano High. Of course Asian film has been highly respected for a long while, from Kurosawa's Samurai flicks, to John Woo's "gun fu" and actors that are household names in America like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Chow-Yun Fat. Oh and can't forget YUEN WO PING, who directed the fight scenes in the Matrix Reloaded and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon!

If you can find it on DVD then it's worth buying or renting. I really think this is one of the best, if not the best movie I have ever seen, everything was perfect and everything fit together very nicely. I was positively speechless when the movie was over |

It isn't one of those Asian films where people have magic powers and stuff is it? I've seen some pretty weird Asian films where people can basically fly (they jump 30 feet in the air), when a chair is kicked it just seems to move straight with absolutely no gravity acting on it, when people are kicked they flip backwards a few time before gravity takes hold.
It has Jet Li though, he's pretty awesome .

Yeah I've seen it. It's out on VCD if you wanna get it cheap. Not in English though so it was somewhat confusing, esp with the multiple plot layers and fast-paced action. Still a great movie, nonetheless.
Blueliner, if you want watch silly kungfu-soccer humor, go see Shaolin Soccer. Otherwise you'll be disappointed.
