Hate being right? I do

Well sometimes anyway.

In the gay marraige thread I mentioned that overturning the sodomy law had more intentions than decriminalizing sodomy. (it's not just gay sex; a couple things heteros do is called sodomy too). Now polygamists want to be legal too. link. The Texas decision was just a way to let all the freaks in the door. The Supreme Court has poorly defined the terms of it's decision on the matter. Hopefully Congress will have the guts to put some checks and balances in effect.

Polygamy is a lifestyle choice. And anyone could have predicted that some goofy group of people didn't step up next and say, "Hey!"...

The simple fact of the matter is that polygmasists haven't gotten anything, nor should they (in regard to the sodomy law). This is a COMPLETELY different issue.

You're right, it is a different matter. But the precendent that might be interpreted out of the vague definitions in the court's decision opens the door for this lunacy.

So... is your point that you are a proponent of gays having CLEARLY defined rights - or just playing it safe and not extending equality rights to anyone? :S
