Car Mech Forum?

Does anyone know of a forum where many car mechanics hang out?

Thanks.

I've actually been pondering what it would take to set up and create an automotive based site. I've been thinking about it for quite a while actually. Problem is, I have no Idea of how to even start a web site. I'd love to make a Cars/Trucks only forum, not something where they just get thrown into. Someplace where mechanics, enthusiasts, collectors, motorheads, motorgeeks, and the pop in and ask a question and then leave when they get an answer type people. AFAIK, there is no Automotive ONLY forum that covers ALL vehicles.

I wonder if Scott would want to branch out to CarsIMO.com? I was actually thinking of ATA.com ( all things automotive ).

AOL has boards like what I'm talking about, but the way they run their boards sucks compared to TechIMO. I absolutely love the way this site is set up and would want to run a site in much the same way...Hrmmmmph! No knowledge, no money, and a million dollar idea.

Hey, at least now it's documented!

Actually, CM, what kind of cars do you deal with out there? It can have a lot of local relevance, as many US based sites might not have the info about the european only cars you may encounter, along with the different hardware installed on the vehicles.

Thanks for the links.

It's still the bmw and the dashboard board lights problem I posted about, but not many people posted in that thread so I was wondering if a cars only forum might do the trick.
