Nice... I knew some kids in Michigan that had setups in their car/truck so they could flip a switch and you'd think a cop was pulling you over.
Of course they only pulled over people they knew, and when they got them to stop you simply turn off the light.s

Of all the luck!!!

The off duty officer became suspicious because the lights on the imposter's car were blue. Kansas City police use a combination of blue and red flashing lights,
Make sure you get the details right next time you try this.....

hahahaha! As a former employee (mechanic) of the LAPD..... I find that funny as Dell!

once upon a time I didn't stop for the CHP because they were using red flashing lights... I thought they just wanted me to get the Dell out of the way (I was so used to LAPD - blue/reds= U-R-busted) .... boy were the CHP officers pissed when I didn't stop... until I explained... they laughed and warned me to slow-the-Dell-down because I had been doing 80 in a 65 zone... I guess I was the only car they could keep up with

what the .... ?! No charges? I don't know about the US, but here in the UK impersonating a police officer, paramedic, etc is taken very seriously.

Not only does it endanger citizens who may rely on the assumed protection and care of that professional, but imposters also bring the service into disrepute if they masquerade as emergency workers and get someone hurt, don't take statements correctly, screw up the legal process etc.
Throw the book at him *grrrrr*

Doesn't say he won't be charged, just none had been laid at the time the story was filed. I suspect he will be charged for something.

Cheers

I wonder what you get for impersonating a cop and making a run for it. Sounds like a lot of felonies to me
