I can't nor could I ever get the chat software to work for me. I get a message saying that I am not a registered user. Go figure...

it could be the [brackets] in your name.. they maybe invalid characters... with dave.. .guess it just doesn't like mods (back in the day before the regular joe!)

same here. I dont' think that chat thing functions at all.

It's not just chat...it's IRC...the WebNet network to be specific. There's one thing you should know...WEBNET SUCKS. You're REQUIRED to register before you can even JOIN a channel...the worst part about that...is when you try to register they have to send you an email to verify/activate...that email will never come

The chat feature needs to be moved to another network. <-- maybe an Admin will see that.

1) That mail does come, it just takes awhile.
2) Unregistered users cannot CREATE channels. They can join already created channels just fine though. I had this problem solved for a bit by putting a bot in that channel but the netsplits were killing me trying to keep it on and nickserv informed of who i was.

Other than that I agree that it needs to be moved off of Webchat. It is a terribly unstable network and is causing too many problems.

1. 2 weeks since I tried LAST to register this nickname...I tried two other times before that with no email. Glad I had a nick before they decided to do this...too bad I let this nick drop before.

2. If a channel is empty, it must be created to be joined...that is why nobody can ever get in it..because nobody is ever actually in it
