Deciding contrast color for house.

Well, we're trying to decide what color the shutters and door should be. I slapped the red on but any other suggestions or opinions? OR how do you think the red looks.

If I'm seeing the siding as white - how about dark blue or hunter green?

The siding is called Sand, it's tanish yellow. Not what we were expecting but now we like it. The garage doors are a clay color. IN reality about the color as the line that gives the time and Post Quick Reply:

The sun was really shining on the place.

That shade of red looks very nice. Red goes well with light grey so the overall effect is very pleasing.

Red???? Red is a bit much on that IMO. I'd go for a slate blue or medium to semi dark blue/grey and get rid of the red.

the house is aweome looking tho. i like the overal design and all.

French green.

What color is the trim? Are you going to paint the trim to match the shutters?

It's hard to pull off three colors on a house unless it's very large and fancy with much detail work on it.

And please, don't refer to painting as "slapped" on. It drives me nuts

Personally with the gray, and white,I would prolly go with a dark blue,or black.I like the way black contrasts white.

im horrible at paint.

blues and slate blue is often used to much. however i love those colors for houses for me. Anyways I liked that hunter green idea,
