Zoiks! Red Sox romp the Marlins 25-8

10 runs before the first out. Johnny Damon gets three hits in the same inning. Score at the end of the first inning was 14-1. That inning lasted almost an hour.

Did the Marlins take the night off and send in some Little Leaguers?

I am a huge Red Sox fan and love seeing that on ESPN. Too bad the Yankees won as well.

That was an awesome game. I wish they'd shown more of it on TV. I didn't see Baseball Tonight, though. Damon was the second person in the past 100 years to get 3 hits in the same inning. I hope Olsten is ok. The Marlins pitcher got hit with a line drive in the side of the head, but was said to be in good condition.

With the problems the Yanks are having, I'd love to see the Red Sox win the AL pennant. As long as the Braves win it all. (I was born 2 hours from Atlanta and have been a fan all my life. No bandwagon here. )

I think this year's team is the best ever, minus the pitching...I thought it was getting better, especially with Maddux, but he was ripped open his last start.
