Where did all these new members suddenly come from?!

I wasn't online yesterday but when I came here today I noticed that the member count was 2235 or so. Funny, I thought, I'm sure on Thursday it was around the 1300 mark.

If you look at the profiles, member 1340 (techguy) registered on the 13th, but from about then on all these other members have appeared and we're up to number 2237 (Jos).

Is someone not telling me something! Or has there been a sudden surge in people coming on board?

I think it's because Techimo was a mirror for the Medal of Honour demo and people had to register to download it. I must admit, I thought something funny was going on at first

It's a new WWII game based on the Quake3 engine. That's about all I know apart from it looks pretty good and won't be out till early next year (the techimo link is on that page I linked to above)
