Investment Advice
This may have been posted earlier but I couldn't find it:
If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.
With Enron, you would have $16.50 of the original $1,000.00. With Worldcom, you would have less than $5.00 left.
If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser (the beer, not the stock) one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00.
Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

I'd rather buy Mt. Dew, or Coke. You can get a case of it for about 5 bucks with the right coupon, and get 4 cases at that price. Not sure on what the recycling return would be based on the difference in cans you get from Beer vs. Pop, but I bet it would be substantial with $1000.
Plus, with all that caffeine in you, you could get twice the amount of work done outside of your investment, so you would make just that much more ( minus the cost incurred at the dentist for tooth decay )

Too bad there's only a 10 cent deposit in Michigan
Don't think recycling pays that much
except for the few states where they have the 5 cent deposit, ME, CT, NY and a few others.
