you can check the purchase history on the smart card because thats where it's stored untill it makes contact with dishnetwork and they clear it out
The way dishnetwork is set-up is if you want to have programming added all you need do is push the buttons on the remote indicating so. As well the kids can either call dishnetwork or access the dishnetwork account on the internet and also add programming that way.
If you read the manual you'll see that you can lock the kids out of using the "Dish-on-demand" features. As well as having the on-line account access and phone accesspassword protected also.
But you don't need to pay for the premium channels till the end of the month. Ask to speak to a supervisor and have them cancelled immediately and they'll pro-rate the month. I know they will because I had it done when I had some issues with them over spamming my e-mail account for offers that were only for new customers, and when I asked that those offers be extended to me as a long time faithful customer (since dishnetwork started) they said no. So I then said fine, I want my subscription cut from an $89 a month package to a package that's $10.95 (actually theres a $5 a month surcharge for not having a minimal package) a month where I just have the local network programming of CBS, NBC, ABC, UPN, WB, and PBS.
Now once or twice a month they call up and say "sir as a long time valued customer we would like to offer you a specially priced programming package thats available only to our current customers." I tell them no thank you. But then offer them many thanks for forcing me to just take the small network package because it's helped me and my daughter not veg out in front of the mindless movies as much and actually spend more time with each other and read more books.
Oh yeah, theres also other thing that can be done with a smart card programmer and the proper software but I won't go into that as it breaks forum rules.
