Pest Repeller devices

Has anyone tried any of those electronic Pest Repellers that you plug into a
wall socket and they emit high frequency noises to scare away bugs and small
pests.

Does this really work, or is it better to pay your Clark guy $70 every 2 months? Does the product last a long time, or does it vibrate itself out of existence?

Spiders mostly. It's not like I am attracting the bugs. Except for the ants, which prey on crumbs.

I hate having to crush spiders on the wall. They leave a nasty stain on the drywall.

A radio DJ once said that the average person swallows 8 spiders a year. Ew!
