create your own band

no i am not talking about this if you could create your own band, using any one dead or alive, and keeping in mind it has to sound good, not just all the greats, who would it be. and possibly, what would you call it

Band name = More
Lead vocals = Scott Anderson of Finger Eleven
Lead Guitar = Tom Morello of Rage AtM and Audioslave
Bassist = Flea of Red Hot CP
Drummer = ...can't really think of one

Let's see...

Lead Guitar, Vocals: Billy Corgan
Rhythm Guitar, Vocals: James Iha
Bass Guitar, Vocals: D'arcy Wretsky
Percussion: Jimmy Chamberlin

I would call them "The Smashing Pumpkins."

What do you mean that's already been done? Ah well, who wants to fight with perfection? :P

Seriously, what would be a sweet conglomeration...

Vocals: Maynard-James Keenan, Chris Cornell
Guitars: Adam Jones, Tom Morello
Bass: Justin Chancelor
Percussion: Danny Carey, Jimmy Chamerblin.

Well, really, that's just Tool with some extra people, but man...

How about Beetoveen (sp?) on keyboards
Barry white on bass vocals
Freddie Mercury as lead vocal

would the rest matter???

Seriously, without any limits the talent that this planet has created over the last umpteen thousand years is beyond reason. Any guitarist, or percusionist, or horn blower ("Dizzy" Gilespy anyone???) and its not whos the best, but who goes togather best in what music style. Would Beetoveen get alond with rag time? Would Ray Charles rap?

So with those little thoughts on this project let me say that just about any band made of true musicians would be great. But it takes that little tiny thing called TALENT to make the musician. (Dig at recent TV craze)

tkop: That's funny that you should mention that...because I believe those very people are forming a new band. "Reloaded" I think.

Here's a lineup I think would sound pretty killer:

Drums: John Bonham
Guitars: Pepper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity) and Adam Jones (Tool)
Bass: Nick Oliveri (Kyuss/Queens of the Stone Age)
Vocals: Pepper Keenan (best I can think of at the moment)

Nick Oliveri has the weirdest style. Thank God I have to learn some of it. Wait...

You'd be surprised how diverse my tastes are, 6F4. I'm thinking in terms of compatibility. You couldn't put Billy Corgan and Maynard Keenan in a band together. It wouldn't work, know what I mean?

Here's another one.

Guitars, vocals: Thom Yorke, PJ Harvey
Bass: Me
Drums: Carter Beauford

OK, one more:

Drums: Igor Cavallera (Sepultura)
Bass: Henrey Bogdan (Helmet)
Guitar: Buzz Osborn (Melvins/Fantomas)
Vocals: Neil Fallon (Clutch)

But, I'd be willing to substitue Helmet's drummer in there.....tough decision.
