Stay true to the comics history or did it get all messed up?
Seems like they are tryin to sell it on the special effects work alone---

I really didnt like it, thought it was boring

Yeah, lately it's just too much CG overload (Computer graphics).
The Hulk is entirely animated. Takes real acting out of the equation and will be the death of the stuntman. Too many movies like this make it hard to suspend disbelief.
