dunno if wifey believes me or not(but after she reads this she wont ) but it really WAS an accident.

was poking around newegg to see how much ddr2100 ram was selling for.

so i went along and added it to cart, etc and clicked a few times, and was looking for the shipping calculater to say how much shipping cost.

well,i ordered it(OOOPS) and found out the reason shipping never showed up was because it was FREE

so now i ll be accidently upgraded to 512 of ram next week sometime

at least i didnt OOOPS a new mobo,or a radeon 9800 pro....

now the wait begins

Well Brad, you could have prevented the wifey from ever finding out by just sending it to me!

Then ya' wouldn't have to worry about her finding out!

I can keep a secret, ya' know!

Thanks!!

Done that myself, even when I was showing something to the wife on the screen.

Was an accident, as my CC details was already cookied (from something else she didn't know I had ordered. . )

I think she believed me when I said the second one was an accident.

Ended up getting a nice TV Tuner out of the mistake, though!

Happy RAMing when it comes, draboo!!

Cheers
Mick

Sorry to hear of this mishap, Brad. Very unfortunate. And you didn't even really need it.

Maybe they'll take it back if you tell them of the mistake.

And maybe they won't.

At least you'll have done the right thing.

Sure shahani! I think you're onto something. I'm sure they will take it back!

They will take it back but often charge a 15% restocking fee. Factor that with the return postage and perhaps it doesn't make sense to return a ddr 2100 RAM.

I mean its not like it'll just lie around. I'm sure Brad could find some use for it. Maybe even send it to harder.

Maybe that is the best solution to this problem.
