Screeching Truck

my bronco II has coil springs in the front. they arent the originals, these are a bit thicker in order to lift the front end ~1.5". every time i hit a bump, even a tiny one, they make this ear piercing noise and its driving me crazy. some of my friends put them on, they seem to be on right, but why are they screetching? they have been on there for a while. i would take them off to have a look but i dont have the equipment to do so and my friends are too busy with their jobs to help me. i have tried putting grease on them which helps temorarily but then the grease wears off and they screetch again. any suggestions?

thanks!

drew

There should be rubber pads where the spring contacts the seat. Perhaps it is not there.

I would check into renting the tools to do the job. Some of the parts stores rent them free.
