what order do you eat things?

i've noticed that i tend to eat in a reverse favorite order.
example a box of granola bars. there is 3 kinds. i like one more then the others. therefor i eat the ones i dont like as much first. i dont really know why. anyone else do something like this?

if you were wondering they are quaker chewys.
chocolate chip
smores
and peanut butter chunk. i like the peanutbutter ones best
so i eat the chocolate ones first. there is also more chocolate chip ones in the box when i started.

I do the same. If I have jumbo grilled prawns and some vegetables and rice on a plate, I'll hit the Prawns last.

Wonder why?

I hit the best stuff first. If I have T-bone steak, baked potatoes and something like peas, the steak first then the potatoes then the peas.

Most of the time I eat in the order of protein, starch, sugar. An example would be ribs, macaroni, peas. Always start with the meat

depends - during dinner, I tend to eat the meat first, then starch - and last vegtables (but I always clean ma' plate). Also, I don't drink anything while I'm eating - but then I down an entire glass of Ice-cold milk once done.

When eating munchies like pop-tarts - I like to eat of the edge first and then eat the center.

I do that too lol. I also eat tacos strange. I eat the vegetable and cheese areas first so meat is last. Each bite of just meat is great

I tend to eat all my veggies before I get to the meat.

Where do you think the saying "saving the best parts for last" comes from? When I get done with a meal, I want the tastiest thing left on my salvating palette, so I can remember it's wonderful flavor the longest.

Ate leftovers for dinner tonight, last bit of Mt. Dew just went down the gullet.

mmmmmmmm, sugary.

depends on how hungry I am. If I'm really hungry like I've just come home from running 10 miles then I just sorta mix everything together and chew it all at once spitting out non edibles like bone. If I'm just hungry then I usually start on my fav but I get a fair amount of everything else as I go. I like to finish everything at once instead of having the greenbeans or something I don't like left over for later.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, well, if I ever get to Texas, I know who to hang with!

Funny thread, BobO.... I've always had weird eating habits, to wit:

1) The hot stuff is attacked first. The salad is the finale. I cannot understand why anybody would go for the salad first, as the meat and (cooked) veggies are quickly going cold. What is THAT about?

2) As a child, I would eat in a pattern, one component at a time...meat (when there was meat) first, then the yucky veggies.

Recently, I've been enjoying mixing them up, but am finding that there is an ART to matching foods. I guess that's why those French Chefs make the big bucks, as I've noticed that a fancy French dinner (also Japanese) all the courses happen to be harmonious!

Oh, and DEATH to Cauliflower and Brussels Sprouts! GAH!
