You lucky dog................

I used to ride but gave it up when came out with the helmet law here. I couldn't stand wearing a helmet.

But I'm moving to Maine this coming Saturday and they have no helmet law there, So guess what, I be lookin for a new chopper....

Enjoy the ride.

Maybe you actually should wear the helmet though. If you have a helmet you will at least live when some jerk on a cell phone hits you.

Woah! That thing is a work of art Thud. I used to ride. Gave it up at about 35. It got to where I didn't enjoy it anymore. I got tired of being pulled out in front of or people swapping lanes and running me up on sidewalks.

Well Maine doesn't have too many tourists depending on where he moves to.
Besides riding season there isn't very long.

I bought it through Military Car Sales, so they'll ship it from the factory to my next duty station, which will be in Virginia.

I don't plan to try to ride it until I've taken the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course, since I haven't ridden in like 12 years. The first course I'll be able to get into won't be til March (at the earliest), so it'll be a while. But, at least I'll have all winter to customize.

Thanks for the comments, folks....this oughta be a lot of fun. Hope those of you looking to get back into riding, have best of luck in doing so.

hhh MSF courses are supposed to be really "interesting"
Although most people say that in the end, it's a really good class to take.

I used to ride, but I also got tired of terrible drivers that don't pay attention. I have been thinking about it again since I only live 2 miles from work and it would be nice sometimes. But, apartments and motorcycles tend to not mix well. But, I can still dream....
