Help you brother in trouble!!!

“On April 3, 19-year-old Jesse Jordan received a call that changed his life.
The freshman at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., learned he was being sued by one of the most powerful trade groups in the United States, the Recording Industry Association of America…”
more

I am going to donate the kid few dollars. To my opinion every P2P fan should do that. This way when somebody falls a victim to evil RIAA or other greedy thugs he/she would not feel alone. You can help the dude by visiting his site: ChewPlastic.com

I believe that RIAA and alike are violating some very basic human values. After all free non-profit sharing was encouraged since Biblical times.

By the way I heard some other student was sued by RIAA and had to settle for $18,000. Anybody knows the site where I can donate him?

There is no point to this thread.

A. Solicitation is not allowed at TechIMO.
B. It's a moot point because the kid has paid the fine and he's done.
C. If you play you gotta pay.

From Zeropaid
Quote:
Jesse Jordan is one of the four students who were sued by the RIAA for 98.7 Billion dollars. He and the other three students all settled with the RIAA for a lot less. Jesse has set up a PayPal account and is accepting donations to help pay the settlement of $12,000. He has the link on his website

But Jordan did agree to pony up $12,000, his entire savings account, to the RIAA. Jordan and his father, Andy Jordan, felt the settlement was their best option.

"They agreed to allow Jesse to deny their allegations. They agreed to dismiss the case and all allegations against him," Andy said. "Basically they agreed that he didn't do anything wrong, but [they're] taking his 12 grand."
